World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day is coming up quickly: this Tuesday, December 1st.  HIV Alliance plans to host a number of events in honor of those affected by HIV/AIDS around the world.

4-5pm: Open house at HIV Alliance

5-5:30pm: Volunteer Appreciation (open to the public) at HIV Alliance

5:30-6pm: Memorial Ceremony at HIV Alliance

7-8:30pm: HIV/AIDS: International Human Rights Challenges, a presentation by Dr. Bob Fischer.Dr. Fischer will be at the EMU Ballroom at the UO at 7pm. He was formerly with the World Health Organization and the US National Institute of Health, and has done extensive work in Asia, Russia and Africa. Dr. Fischer will be speaking about HIV/AIDS, sex work and human trafficking in different regions of the world.
