About the Board of Advisors

In addition to a 21-member governing Board of Directors, HIV Alliance has assembled a diverse group of recognized community leaders to serve on the Board of Advisors.

Role

HIV Alliance’s Board of Advisors has four primary responsibilities:

  • Ambassador – Serve as informational ambassador on behalf of HIV Alliance, talking about our mission and programs whenever possible.
  • Relationship Building – Help facilitate relationships with potential partners in the business, education, civic, political, media and health care arena.
  • Eyes and Ears – Help gather information from the community about how HIV Alliance is doing, and what people are thinking or saying about HIV.
  • Resources – Help identify opportunities for financial, in-kind and/or volunteer resources, as you learn about them.

Structure

HIV Alliance’s Board of Advisors has an annual luncheon to update members on the status of HIV, and on HIV Alliance’s program and services, special projects and agency needs.  Members are called on for assistance and consultation regarding various projects and issues throughout the year.
